DESCRIPTION:Join Mass Aging Access\, our partner organizations\, and older adults from across the Commonwealth as we meet in the Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House to raise our collective voices for older adult programs and services\, and the funding to support these programs and services.  The event begins at 11:00am and will feature speeches from both legislators and older adult advocacy organizations on the issues\, including proposed legislation and funding needs. DESCRIPTION:Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) will host its Feed the Need Harvest Party on Wednesday\, October 23. Enjoy a delicious meal\, a musical comedy revue and more\, all while supporting a worthy cause! \nThe Feed the Need Harvest Party will benefit Meals on Wheels and food assistance in Chelsea\, Everett\, Malden\, Medford\, Melrose\, North Reading\, Reading\, Revere\, Stoneham\, Wakefield and Winthrop. \nThe Hot Spot Cabaret will perform a musical comedy revue featuring lively songs by five seasoned performers and a pianist. Enjoy a family-style dinner by Henry’s Catering of Malden and laugh your heart out for a good cause! There will also be great raffle opportunities. A paid  bar will be available. \nMVES provides critical food security to older adults and people with disabilities\, plus a much-needed wellness check and social interaction that many residents rely on. The service is especially important for recipients who are unable to take advantage of other food programs due to their health or mobility. \nTickets for $75 each or tables for eight at $600 each are now on sale.
